Tour Description

This full-day tour is designed to offer a comfortable, safe, and fully accessible birdwatching experience at two of Cusco’s best viewing spots: Huacarpay Lagoon and the Hummingbird Observatory in Yanahura.

Key Aspects of Accessibility

Transportation: Accessible vehicles with ramps or lifts will be used exclusively.
Routes: Selection of flat trails or paved/stabilized paths suitable for wheelchairs and walkers. In Huacarpay, viewpoints near the road will be prioritized.
Comfort: Relaxed pace with frequent stops for rest and use of binoculars.

Time (approx.)	Activity
06:00	Pick-up at your hotel with an accessible vehicle.
06:45	Arrival at Huacarpay Lagoon. Observation from designated and accessible areas. Search for aquatic birds such as the Andean Grebe (Rollandia microptera) and the Andean Gull (Chroicocephalus serranus).
08:00	Transfer to the Hummingbird Observatory in Yanahuara.
10:15	Arrival at the Observatory. The observation area is usually flat. Enjoy the diversity of hummingbirds from feeders and fixed points. Target species: Inca Hummingbird (Coeligena torquata) and Giant Hummingbird (Patagona gigas).
12:30	Affordable lunch and time for questions.
13:00	Return to Cusco.
15:00	Arrival at the hotel.
